Description

Here is the famous “Kokopelli” Cue! It was originally designed for the 2009 Santa Fe ICCS show. A prestigious private collector has kept this treasure until now in brand new condition……. Thomas has stated that much of his inspiration came from the Native American culture, in particular the Hopi folklore flute player known as, “Kokopelli.” Some myths suggested that when Kokopelli visited a village at night, all of the maidens would become pregnant the next day….. In this masterful work of art you will find two representations of this mythical caricature….. One representation as the nighttime visitor who brings fertility and life to the people. The other representation as a joyous Kokopelli celebrating the successful result of new birth and a bountiful harvest.

The ingenious design also features symbolic game animals, the sun, the harvest moon, and similar life affirming symbols found in Hopi culture. Thomas choose Ebony to represent the sky ( both at night and in the day). A choice piece of hand dyed Buckeye Burl was selected to represent the the earth. The colors include yellow, orange and reds. Other materials in the cue include Turquoise, Red Coral, (Pre- Ban date) natural material, Beeswing Satinwood and Gold. A much more in-depth description / LOA is included.
