- The Ash shafts are normally seen in British snooker cues, this type of shaft is exceptionally hard to source due to its tight grain structure. What makes this type of shaft particularly fascinating is its performance characteristics. Paul described it as playing very similar to maple, but with added dimensional stability. ( Particularly in high moisture environments. These shafts quickly became the standard in England, where humidity and climate conditions demanded a more stable shaft wood over generations of cuemaking.
- This has only had very light play with the maple shaft…. Everything is in close to new condition! No issues, looks and plays great as expected from the Hall of Fame Master Cuemaker from Connecticut!
